A Plan

I really want this walk to be as successful as possible for our family.

I also want to make it as easy as I can for anyone who wants to join us in this adventure!

So I have gotten a few new walker packets and extra collection envelopes. If anyone needs help getting started, or you just aren't sure where to start, please let me know! I am more than happy to help you out. I also have a few posters that can be hung up that have all the important info on them too. Let me know if you'd like one!

So far, we've only gotten one donation. We still have a long way to go to meet our goal! I am confident we will make our goal, and I know we still have plenty of time until the walk. Here are some interesting CF facts for you to read up on:

Life Expectancies Over Time

1950- 1 year
1962- 10 years
1970- 16 years
1985- 25 years
1990- 29 years
2000- 32 years
2009- 37.4 years

Remember... these are medians, meaning only half of people with CF are expected to reach these ages.

When I read this... I get chills over my entire body. There will be a whole post dedicated completely to this topic later on.2008- The Foundation and Vertex Pharmaceuticals achieve "proof of concept" showing that it IS possible to treat the genetic cause of CF.
